Our aim here at Beyond The Baby is to support everyone's right to choose the way they birth and parent. All parenting and birthing styles are encouraged and supported.

Essentially we believe in birthing healthy babies and we believe in baby feeding. No matter how these are achieved. Women have a right to feel comfortable with their choices and have a right to have access to information on all options.

Beyond The Baby believes in ....

Baby Feeding - No matter which form that may be - Breast, Formula, Cows Milk or Solids.

Keeping The Poop Contained! - No matter how you choose to do this with your child - disposables, cloth nappies or elimination communication. As long as the poop is contained that’s all that matters!

Baby Sleeping - Cots, cradles, toddler beds, co-sleeping! As long as your baby is safe and comfortable!

Choice In All Areas Of Life - immunizations, nappies, sleeping, baby feeding, food/shopping choices, brands/products etc. We support everyone's way of life!

Information Sharing Without Preaching - We believe everyone has valuable information to share and we provide a non judgmental place. We believe in everyone's right to share information not push beliefs on to others.

Beyond The Baby is a supportive group of mothers who want the best for their child in a parenting environment that works well for them. We accept all parenting styles and provide a safe community for everyone to share their information, stories and ideas without feeling pressured to conform to others views.

Beyond The Baby is all about choice, no matter what that is!

Any member who does not follow the forum rules, support our site motto and vision or who joins to cause trouble will be banned immediately without question or discussion.

Summary Of The Rules

* Only one account per person unless authorized by the administrator of Beyond The Baby.

* No trolling

* No opening a new thread or topic after admin/mods have closed it

* No illegal content or discussions of illegal topics

* No extremist views or behaviours

* Members are to be mindful of other members, their feelings, thoughts and opinions.

* No member should be made to feel uncomfortable on the forum –
- No verbal bashing of other members,
- No forming of gangs, groups or other in order to pressure, hurt, manipulate or verbally assault another user.

* Debates are encouraged, however please be mindful of other members, thoughts, morals, beliefs and personal opinions.

* No swearing of any kind - No Excuses!

* No use of symbols to disguise swear words

* No spam posting

* No “religious” debates

* No defamatory comments

* No racist, homophobic, sexists, xenophobic, disability discrimination or hate-based discussions

* No posting of links with an affiliate or referral ID

* No off topic conversation

* No angry goodbye threads or posts

* No direct advertising by a company, its employees or associated parties. Only real reviews, thoughts and advice will be accepted when promoting a product or service on this forum. However, companies can give objective views about their products or services but cannot degrade or defame another company in competition with their product or service.

* On Beyond The Baby you can mention names of products and services in all areas or the forum as long as the product or service is being mentioned as a personal review and is not being advertised. There is no need to disguise the name of a service.

* No complaints about moderation - moderation team have the final say

This is a community based website and as any other community we like it to be peaceful and a fun place to be. What is right for you in your life, might not be best for everyone so PLEASE DO NOT push your opinions or beliefs onto another member. Remember there is a real person behind every computer screen so treat them with the same respect as you would in real life.

What Will Happen If You Break The Rules?

Those who break the rules will get a warning the first time, the second time they will receive a one weeks suspension from Beyond The Baby and the third time will see the user banned for 3 months. After 3 months the user can apply to Admin to be reinstated. Repeat offenders will receive a lifetime ban.

We understand that sometimes mistakes are made so we will consider all circumstances before taking this harsh measure.
