Fun Easter Ideas
Easter is such a fun holiday. What can be better than a holiday dedicated to eating chocolate? Aside from the fabulous chocolate overdose it is also a great time to spend with family, especially children.
The magic of the Easter bunny can create some wonderful fun activities that even the adults will enjoy!

Here are a few ideas to create a fun weekend for your family!
Easter Egg Hunt
This is not a new idea and has been done for years but why not make it a little different?
• If you have older primary school children why not make it a treasure hunt with clues they have to follow to find the Easter eggs or make a treasure map and cut it into small puzzle pieces and have the children follow clues to find the map pieces which wll lead them to the eggs.
• For smaller children learning colours do a colour coded egg hunt, for example: tell them to find 3 blue eggs, 6 yellow eggs and 1 red egg
• For really small children cut out bunny foot prints from cardstock and lay a trail around the house or garden leading to the eggs. Kids will love following the Easter bunnies footsteps!
• Easter Spider! Tie a string to your child’s door handle and run the string all around the house, over furniture, in and outside until it leads to their eggs. In the morning the child will wake up and follow their spider web to their treasure! • A path of kisses! Leave a trail of Hershey’s kisses that lead to your child’s Easter present.

Why not present their eggs in an interesting way!
• Create “nests” from straw/hay and lay their eggs in the nest.
Easter crafts are a great way to spend time with the family and keep them entertained all weekend long!
• Have the children decorate their Easter baskets with ribbon, paints and glitter.
• Write letters and draw pictures for the Easter bunny
• Create fun Easter hats and have an Easter hat parade
• Blow out the inside of real eggs and tie dye them or paint them! Then hang then with ribbon on some branches in a vase.
• Create Easter cards to give to each other or to give to other family members.
• Scrapbooking! Why not create scrapbooking pages to fill with photos from the day. Have the kids decorate a page each and write what they love about Easter.
We hope these ideas help you to create a magical Easter weekend!!
