Yep you heard it right! While researching some baby feeding ideas I stumbled across a very interesting and a little weird documentary. It’s only 8 minutes and it is directed by academy award nominee Peter Templemen.

Men can actually breastfeed and strangely enough after a little more research I discovered that male breast milk is actually more nutritious than female breast milk.

So here is the question …. would your husband breastfeed and would how do you feel about it?

My brother and husband were here when I found the video and watched it – my brother’s baby is due in January. They both had the same reaction when asked if they would breastfeed their baby  …. “HELL NO!”. They both said it was weird and not something they would ever do and would probably judge others who did it.

I am not sure I would be comfortable with it, however my thinking is that society has made it unacceptable. If a man produces milk then really why couldn’t he breastfeed? It’s only society and the rules we place on what’s appropriate that would stand in the way.
